Tag

Tag I am it:

So here it is grab the nearest book. Open the book to page 56. Find the fifth sentence. Post the text of the next two to five sentences in your blog along with these instructions. Don't dig for your favorite book, the cool book, or the intellectual one: pick the CLOSEST. Tag three other people to do the same. So the book that I found was Sparks latest and I had heard some mixed opinions about it...it was good but not my favorite by far!

The Lucky One:

With his grades, Clayton could easily have handled it, but he simply couldn’t imagine spending another four years in the classroom, so he’d joined his father at the Sheriff’s Department. That was enough to placate Gramps. It seemed like he’d spent half his life placating Gramps.

Nicholas Sparks

So I do not know who to tag, so anyone can feel free to tag themselves and let me know you did so that I can read it! :) And thank you to my cousin Raychel for not tagging me to run around my house and take pics before I clean out the sink!

Kids, is there anything better?

Warning, you will probably have to be realted to the parties involved to enjoy this post!!

So we got to have the kids over on Friday night and had a ton of fun!

Sassy loves to start "fillow pights" with Tio Kris and he is always game for getting all the kids energy out so that they fall asleep fast!

Kelson had on some footy pj's that Cade packed for him but got too hot...

so Tio took him upstairs to pick out any shirt that he wanted out of our closet...I think that he picked this one because he could read Mamma Mia!...I know his Dad will love this picture!

Poor Bofo had to watch the pillow fight from his crate because he just gets too excited...I think he weighs more than Sassy now and can knock her down by just walking by her...
Mommy also had a craft to do, so we tie-dyed t-shirts for Halloween...
I have to say that they really turned out cute! Kelson is kind of funny about nick-names, I have called Cade "Boog" when he wasn't even here yet and Kelson doesn't like it when I call him that. Then we started calling Kelson peanut, and sometimes it is ok and sometimes it is not. Well, while he was doing is t-shirt he said "Tia, you can call me peanut, or peanut butter, or just peanut butter and jelly 'cause that is my favorite." He cracks me up!
This is the picture that Sassy took of Cade and I told her that I would put it on here for her...

I love that I get to have them over to spend the night then send them home and take a nap! After all, Mom & Dad got to go to Bojangles for a treat and didn't bring us any :)
I can't wait for Adam, Melissa and kids to come and visit so that we can have a jumbo cousins sleep over!!!

Bofo, the turtle dog

So I can't believe that I did this post and forgot to post it yesterday, I guess it has been a busy week...sigh

I go home every day at lunch to let Bofo out to do his business and stretch his legs and what not...but yesterday when I let him out he ran for the woods and was digging away until he found his friend, the turtle. So I made him go back in the house while I let it go back to its hole, so he wouldn't toss it around like a ball. I had to work late last night, so Kris let Bofo out and away he went to find the turtle, only Kris ended up chasing him for a good 45 minutes before one of the neighbor kids caught him for Kris. Then Kris calls me and says that he paid the kid some Scooby Doo fruit snacks for helping...what a nice guy to share his snacks.

Grocery Game & Costco

I love Sunday for lots of reasons, but I must confess that one big reason is for the paper, but not to read it, just to get the coupons out of it. Then I get to clip, organize, & make my shopping list. I get my shopping list from a place called "The Grocery Game" that tells you what is on sale and if it is a good buy or not. I usually save as much as I spend, unless a little friend comes with me who doesn't play by the coupon rule :) But it is only $10 every 8 weeks for the use of the website for the shopping list and it is more than worth it! Kris thinks that I am crazy but I really enjoy doing it and seeing how much money we save! The last time that we added it all up we had saved close to $1200 and that was 3 months ago. My "Sissy" Shena was the one that got me to do it and now Mom has even joined in so we even swap. Melissa (who would play too if she lived closer) said yesterday that "a family that clips (coupons) together, saves together", she cracks me up, but I think that she secretly wishes that she could play too, but its not as fun if you don't have people to compete against! We went to Costco on Saturday, and I am happy to say, that I only spent $17.10!!! That has to be a record for that store! My Mother on the other hand walked out with a bed...
That was pretty much my excitement for the weekend...wow blogs can be right lame/boring if you don't have kids to show...maybe I will go and take some pics of the kids to liven things up...

You are thoughtful and care very deeply for your family. A loving home is of great
importance to you and you always try to make people feel welcome. Although you have a great capacity to love, you also have a great capacity to hurt, so at times you can be
sensitive. You're firm when you need to be, but people trust your judgment and
appreciate the kind way you always handle things.

YOU'RE A CARLISLE!

You are intelligent, strong willed and patient. A peaceful lifestyle and helping others is very important to you. You’re not a take charge kind of guy and sometimes rely too much on your feelings when you make decisions, but you always mean well and try your best to do what’s right.

2 Car Garage...

This weekend was all about Kris! He has been giving me such a bad time about us having a 2 car garage that we can only put 1 car in (and that would be my car) and his work truck had to stay parked on the street because he leaves after I do in the morning so...

This is what I did all weekend and now his car fits in the 2 car garage and his work truck can now go in the drive way!!! Hurray for a productive weekend. Plus he cleaned most of the house and did most of the laundry, except the folding part.

Kris loves his shoes. He is incredibly picky about his shoes, and shoe shopping with him can take an entire day! Last Monday, I insisted on him getting new work shoes because his old ones were falling apart. So he chose these red & black Nike's. Then come Friday, he says, "I think that my shoes are the wrong size. I think we should take them back and have an associate measure my foot." So he calls the store and warns them that we are coming...we get to the store and an hour later we leave with a new pair. Then the rest of the day he second guesses himself repeatedly, to the point that I no longer respond to the same question over and over. Then right before I leave for work this morning he says "So, do you think that I made the right choice in shoe size and style. Do you think that they are going to work out?" Bless his heart, I rolled my eyes and walked away. At least it will be a couple months before we have to go thru this again, and we will remember that he should wear a 10 1/2, except in Nike, that is, he wears a 10.

Girls Night Out

Our sweet Haley is moving Atlanta this weekend, so we decided that we needed some QT with her, plus her birthday was on Monday and we didn't make it to see her then, so this was to make up for it. I was also verry excited that my Sassy got to come with us because she loves anything girly! I sat in the back with her and we went thru all of my coupons and she did great at keeping all the expired ones organized & seperated from the non-expired ones. Once we got to close to Haley's, Sassy was very hungry and wanted chicken, katsup and chocolate milk.

We didn't actually get to eat until 7:30 so we were trying to entertain her by taking her picture and letting her take pictures...don't we look lovely!

After dinner we decided that we needed some good icecream, so we went to Coldstone...and it was delicious! Thanks Mom, Sissy, Sassy, and Haley for the fun and now if we could only get Missa and Little Lettie out here to join in on our fun...maybe next summer! Have fun in Atlanta and we will have to have some girl weekends there with Tio Marcos too (he can be a girl for a couple days too)!!!

Random pics of Kris

My brother-in-law Kirk was giving us a hard time that there are more pictures of the dog than of Kris. All I have to say to that is at least the dog lets me take his picture! So I found some random pics of Kris so that Kirk could see how cute his little brother is!
